What we do with your information, in plain language.
This page matters more here than on most websites. Many of the people who contact us have good reasons to care about who sees their name, so we have written it the way we would explain it on the phone.
The short version
We collect only what you type into a form on this site. We use it to get back to you. We do not sell it, trade it, rent it, or hand it to anyone else to market to you. We do not report it to probation, parole, law enforcement or any correctional facility.
If you are on probation or parole
Filling out a form on this site does not notify your probation officer, your parole agent, or any facility. We are a private nonprofit, not a government agency, and we have no reporting relationship with the Department of Corrections.
The one limit we will not pretend away: if we were ever served with a valid court order or subpoena, we would be legally required to comply, the same as anyone else. We would tell you if that happened and we were permitted to.
What we collect
Only what you give us. There are three forms on this site.
- Request support. Your name, a phone number or email, who the request is for, and what you need.
- Get involved. Your name, contact details, your business or organisation if you enter one, and what you are offering.
- Newsletter. Your first name and email address.
Form submissions are delivered to Connie by email through a service called FormSubmit, which passes the message along and does not use it for anything else.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or trade your information. Ever. To anyone.
- Share it with probation, parole, correctional facilities or law enforcement.
- Add you to a mailing list because you asked for help.
- Run advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
- Require you to create an account or a password.
Who can see it
Connie Hopkins reads the requests herself. If helping you means bringing in someone else, a landlord, an employer, a partner agency, we ask you first. We do not pass your name along without telling you.
Donations
When you give, your payment details go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your card number. We do receive your name, email and the amount, so we can thank you and send a receipt for your taxes.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep support requests only as long as they are useful for helping you. Donation records are kept as long as the law requires for a 501(c)(3). You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Ask us to delete your information, tell us what we hold, or just ask a question. There is no form for this and no process. You call, and you talk to Connie.
